The road to Hana.

Day 2.

Today we did the road to Hana. The road to Hana is a road that is about 50miles long that runs from the city the airport is in to Hana along the coast and through the "rain forest". The road has over 600 turns and over 200 one lane bridges. We woke up at 4 am got ready and were on the road by 6. Good thing we got an early start because we didn't get home until 6PM and we were exhausted. What a trek. I'm really glad we rented a jeep. Better viewing and fun to drive. We did some hiking, jumped off some cliffs, swam, explored beatiful places, visited water falls, ate banana bread, learned about Mauii's history, and drove and drove and drove. I drove back like I was a local.... really fast. It was fun. Melissa kept trying to nap and her head would swing left and then right and then fall forward over and over again. I was laughing the whole way home. Finally at home we showered ate and slept. ahhhh.
